Research

Context and objectives

The French policy “Trame Verte et Bleue” of the implementation of ecological networks must be based on the advances of the research in landscape ecology and policy science. It is therefore necessary to “translate” research results into operational tools.

Methodology

This translation requires interaction with the stakeholders who will use those tools. This is done in collaboration with URCPIE who is specialized in environmental education. We share joined seminars and they test the tools on “test territories” covering the range of Brittany landscape diversity. We also participate in meetings with regional and local stakeholders who provide feedback on our advancement.

Results

We produce brochures, and will have a set of texts for different groups of stakeholders from the layperson to those actively involved in planning the networks. We also provide simple models as a basis for discussion with people.
